When I was thinking about what I would like to knit for the first semester junior year of Loopy Academy before the projects had been assigned I knew I would knit the Field of Wildflowers hat by Joji Locatelli. I had seen it on Ravelry and thought it was lovely. It’s just perfect for those wild short length colors variegated skeins. When the projects were assigned I was saddened to see that the hat wouldn’t fit any of the projects. What’s a knitter to do? I ordered some yarn and bought the pattern figuring I could squeeze it in some time. When the November Loopy’s Monthly Mixer was assigned I knew right away that I would be casting on the hat! The assignment is to knit something warm in worsted or bulky weight yarn. The yarn I’m using is Dream in Color Classy in the dyed exclusively for The Loopy Ewe color Big Box of Crayons. I just love it when things work out. Don’t you?
These colors are soothing and definitely representative of fall. I think it’d work for a jumper. Thanks for bringing my attention to the hat pattern. What a great excuse to use Rios!
