Sometimes I really surprise myself. I am lazy when it comes to, well, most everything but mainly with my knitting. I just want to sit and knit without having to think or be distracted while I do something else like talk or watch a movie. But this sock has been a pleasure. It does require some paying attention. I can’t watch a movie with subtitles or anything that requires me to focus 100% but I don’t have to focus 100% on the sock either, maybe 60% which is quite doable for me. So because of this my mind has been wandering off and thinking about other “fancy” socks. This may be a new thing and really I’m stunned.
The pattern is Angee by Cookie A. If you enjoy knitting socks and you haven’t knit a Cookie A pattern you must right now run and find some yarn and cast one on. Monkey is the perfect gateway pattern. Go ahead, you won’t regret it. The yarn is Sensations Truly in truly turquoise.
For those of you who have been playing along at home, my father got out of the hospital yesterday. He’s got 3 pages of instructions including visiting two doctors in the next couple of weeks and two new prescriptions. Hopefully they’ll get a handle on these issues and we won’t be repeating this extended hospital stay again.
If you’d like to read more WIP Wednesday posts be sure to visit Tami’s Amis blog and don’t forget to cast on that Monkey sock.
Your socks are lovely! I have a pair of Monkeys half done that I need to find the motivation to finish. Happy to hear your father is out of the hospital!

I may have to add these to my queue…..not that I don’t have enough there or anything. Or maybe they’re already in my queue.

Those socks look so intricate. Love the strong design and how it is knitting up in that pretty shade of blue. Happy to hear that your dad was discharged from the hospital. I hope that he is able to get back on track with his health soon.

Your dad must feel so good to be home. There is nothing like your own bed and surroundings.
It’s so neat how the lines intersect one another in that sock. Cookie A is so brillant.

That looks lovely. You should give a Hunter Hammersen pattern a try. I recommend Chrysanthemum. I love me some fancy socks!
