Hi. I’m still alive. I’m busy with life and knitting. If it isn’t enough that my baby is off to college at the end of this month I decided to knit a fingering weight sweater for my August Camp Loopy project. The requirement is to celebrate the Main Event, a real showstopper. So I’ve wanted to knit a fingering weight sweater for ages and really didn’t think too hard before jumping all in. The pattern is The Birdwatcher by Casapinka. I love her patterns. The yarn is Malabrigo sock in carnival. Between shopping for twin XL bedding and all other college prep stuff I’m knitting as fast as I can. This may be the project and the milestone that does me in.
I hope you’re all well and enjoying your crafting. Say a prayer for the people of the world. As I look around there are many needing prayers.
Whew, so happy to hear from you ,,, been concerned. Life and knitting do take a lot of time. 🙂 take care, enjoy all you can, keep your needles clickin’ as you spend valuable time with family. Hi to Myles and encouraging “you can do it” to you.

This is a very big month for you. Is he excited? As for the fingering weight sweater…yikes! I guess it is good that it comes with a deadline because I can see something like that languishing in my world.

I think he’s equally nervous and excited. He’ll be nearby and he’s very familiar with the area so it’s not too scary for any of us.

That is great. I really hope he is paired up with a nice roommate; that can make or break the experience.

Wow, you are a busy one! And you’re right – prayers are constantly being said, and I’m starting to see a bit of hope.

Big steps, but much to celebrate. If you are still looking for XL sheets, usually Target and Kohl’s have them. Love that yarn, the knitting will help you relax I hope!

What a brave one you are – fingering weight anything beats me – I shall admire progress from afar. Good luck with getting your son off to college. When it was that time in my house I think I worried more than my own son did !

OMGOODNESS…college?! It’s he going out of state? I hope they’re having goods mask guidelines there. This Delta Variant is no joke.
Malabrigo always rocks. I haven’t used their yarn for years. I may have to break that cycle 😂; I’ll blame you.
