Beauty

If you’ve been around here for a while you’ve heard me whine about the clematis. It’s a long saga. It involves multiple plantings and more money than it should have cost. We changed the dirt, planted extra annuals to protect the new plants. Then we’d pull the dead clematis out in the fall. Just when I was ready to give up I bought 3 plants for $5 each and every year they look better and better. The earliest blooms are spent but there are more buds so the color should last another week or so.

  2. They are beautiful! Now can you help me figure out where I’m gonna put the 10 violets I bought last week?

I have had no success with growing clematis. I get a couple of blooms and that is it. It doesn’t get any bigger each year. Maybe I should pull the two plants out and start again. Your blooms are terrific.

I wish I could grow a Clematis. I tried at my house 2 houses ago and never got anywhere. Yours is just spectacular!

I really like how the color of the blooms stand out among your grey skies.
