WIP Wednesday On Thursday: Camp Loopy

I have cast on my first Camp Loopy project. I am knitting Monkey Socks by Cookie A which is available for free from Knitty. The yarn is Knerd String fingering weight in kiss me kiss me kiss me.

I love this pattern. I’ve knit it before and have also knit the no purl version. It’s the kind of pattern that encourages you to knit another row, knit another repeat and before you know it you’ve got a new pair of socks.

This is the first time I’ve knit Monkey socks with solid color yarn. The pattern is very friendly with both striped and variegated yarn.

I will be knitting a longer long in order to meet the 400 yard requirement of the challenge. I’ve done an extra half inch ribbed cuff too.

Ooh, yay! I have one pair of Monkey socks that were knitted up after my first, Vogue Knitting Live, LA I believe. I’d like to try the Monkey, no purling pattern.
