Camp Loopy 2021 kicks off Tuesday June 1. The theme this year is Circus Camp. I ordered my yarn last week and was surprised to receive an email saying they could not find the skein that I had ordered. It was a blue yarn with a sea name. I emailed back two options that would be fine. They sent this lovely red.
The brand is Knerd String. The color is called kiss me kiss me kiss me. I’ve used this yarn a few times and it’s fantastic. It’s a finer fingering weight. The material is 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon.
The plan as of this moment is to knit a pair of socks. I’m leaning towards Rye Light by TinCanKnits. The requirement for Camp is to use 400 yards and a pattern with three different stitches going on, or three different colors or changing the stitch or pattern every 3 rows or the pattern having the number three in the title. The idea is to celebrate the three rings of the circus.
This is the good kinda circus!

I really like how you do these Camp Loopy challenges. This one is certainly one with having to knit three different kinds of stitches in one project.

It’s really pretty, Knitting a sweater on a finer weight yarn takes a lot of time, you are braver than I am to want to commit the time for that, how many skeins will it take? I bet it will be beautiful :).
