Today I have put myself on house arrest and an doing a half day of forced labor. I’ll do the other half tomorrow. The kitchen is clean enough. I do have to scrub the sink and stovetop but I’ll wait until after dinner for those. The floor will to be washed but that’s for when everything else in all the rest of the first floor is done.
As you can see by the toy below the blasted open cabinet door, Myles has been assisting. He drags his toys into whatever room I’m working in, leaves them on the floor and then goes for a nap on the couch. He won’t even help with the dusting.
Back to the grind. I hope you’re enjoying your Saturday.
Admire your “house arrest” (giggle) to be honest, it takes that to get me in the swing of decluttering which I hate, all the decisions, to keep (why) to get donate (why). Makes my head hurt to even think of it … but on we go. The last couple weeks I have been trying to get items for Pet organization that is having yearly garage sale. They take all items except clothing … it sounds so simple until it is my mind (mangled as it is) make the decisions. I live in mind set of “will you ever need this again? “will you just get this out of here, you need room” and so it goes. My furbaby doesn’t want to help either, she is kind and sleep while this process goes on (love her so much) Question: If we are on house arrest is the a time we get a reprieve for a while? Have a good day, hugs to Myles.

I told myself I had to do a house chore before I sat down to knit today

today’s agenda is cleaning bathrooms – three of them, what was I thinking when we built this house? – and then working on the computer room, which is slowly beginning to look like a room again. And a trip to buy bias tape because I got the wrong size and then some sewing and some knitting

I admire your discipline! Sometimes I have to force myself to just get some darn housework done too 🙂

House Arrest! That is definitely what it feels like, especially when it is sunny outside. However, it does make you feel good knowing the house is clean and you’ve accomplished something in life!

I just spent an hour in the kitchen dealing with dishes, counters, cupboards….why will they not stay clean?! Good for you, your kitchen looks great?
