WIP Wednesday: Rambling On

Yesterday I talked about the cowl. Thank you so much for the compliments. I highly recommend the pattern for anyone who is interested. Mine is made with deep stash. It’s a great pattern for stash.

Anyway, today I thought I’d touch on the Vary The Gate shawl. It’s another Casapinka pattern for Loopy Academy TAG. I’ve added a dozen or so rows since the last time I shared it. This pattern has a 4 row repeat that is mostly easy to remember though I still refer to the pattern to be sure I’m where I think I am. It’s moving along though not as quickly as I would like.

See the pile at the top of the photo. It’s a bunch of things that I’ve been meaning to put away but haven’t. My furry friend Myles has taken to stealing things when he feels like he needs some extra attention. He has chewed up three yarn tags and tried to help himself to a package of needles. I’m wondering what he’ll get into next.

Your shawl has such a pretty stitch pattern and yarn. Myles needs a hobby. Maybe he wants to learn to knit?

I can totally relate to losing stuff to critters. With two cats and a dog who was raised by cats I have to be super careful about putting things away. This morning I had to stuff a kitten toy I made for a friend’s new babies into one of my knitting bags because Garth found it and was trying to make off with it.

I hope you all are able to find comfort in the memories of you MIL. The cowl is great and the new knitting is lovely. Such soothing projects to while away time.
