Vest Progress

I have been diligently knitting my fingers off and I have moved on to the third (of 4) skein of yarn. The instructions for the vest say to begin the ribbing when the length from cast on is 21 inches. I want something longer so I’m going to aim for 25 inches. Currently I’m at about 19. I just have to dip into the 4th skein by about 50 yards so I think I’ll be fine as far as meeting the yardage requirement. The true question will be getting the whole thing knit, blocked and photographed by 8/31. The only pressing thing I have this week is grooming Myles. He’s extra shaggy so I’ve got to get that done. Other than that I’ll be knitting. How’s your project going? Did you get plenty of crafting time over the weekend?

  1. Oh this is coming along so nicely! I can’t wait to see the finished project 😀 I hope that Grooming Myles goes quickly and that he enjoys all the attention.

Oh yes, it’s looking good! I got a bit done, but this week will be better. My agenda is to get my fall letter out to my students and deep clean the house, with plenty of crafting in between. I have finally hit a good spot on my projects, so I think I can wrap several up by the time I get to the cleaning of the sewing room. Hoping anyway!

I barely had time to knit. I spent most of my time in the yard, and by the time I was done and showered, I was EXHAUSTED!! It was HOT!

Car knitting and tacking a binding were the only things I got done due to being on the road. But quilting is happening now, so it’s all good! Good luck on your knitting deadline!!

  6. You’re rounding the bend! Almost done, looks good!
I’m working on the gusset decreases on my sock and disliking the cramped space of the 9 inch circular, but seeing it through to the end.

I like the idea of a vest; it’s such a good, layering piece. You are a productive knitter, Karen.
