As you can see I have made progress on the vest. I have finished both the front and back yokes and put them on one needle. I’m now working my way down from the underarms.
I just added the second skein of yarn. That means I’ve knit 250 yards of the 840 I expect to knit. Looking at the calendar I see that half the month is gone but not half the yarn. That is a bit worrisome. I must knit faster or more or I’m not going to make it. There is also that voice saying you’re not going to use 800 yards. I must use 800 yards.
So I’ll be knitting until I’m done.
You can do it!!

a deadline is only a suggestion! You’ll love the vest no matter the finish date or the yardage…It’s great.

You will make it! Knitting in the round is so much faster than flat knitting. I have confidence in you!

I bet going round and round eats the yarn much faster, hope so anyway!

And you don’t – I assume – have short rows to mess up and have to tink!

Just round and round until the ribbing. There are a couple of decreases but those should be easy enough:)

Longer vests are all the fashion, plus your over the tricky part. You can do this!

Is it a sweater with sleeves or a vest? That can’t use 800 yards if you are only at 1 skeins already. Are you sure it’s not 2 skeins used?

No. Its a vest. It’s one skein. I’m into the second. I plan to lengthen it. We’ll see what happens:)
