I’ve been diligent in my knitting. The shawl has been left sitting out so when I have a few minutes to sit down I do a row or two. This shawl has increases on one side so I added stitch markers every 50 stitches from the other side to make counting the stitches a quicker endeavor. I’ve set the goal of 179 stitches before beginning the lace. It seemed the most reasonable.
Today we are enjoying a cool day with temperatures in the 70’s. I’m hoping that will translate into cool, comfortable knitting. Tomorrow the temperature shoots back up into the 90’s.
One more thing. A naughty dog tale. Yesterday I ventured out to the grocery store to get our supplies for the next 2-3 weeks. Among my purchases was a 6 pack of blueberry muffins from the bakery. I set the package on the dining room table and went about putting everything else away. A short while later I noticed someone was missing. I looked into the dining room and there was Myles eating a 6 pack of blueberry muffins that were now sitting on the dining room chair. Crumbs were scattered on the chair and rug. Myles was not happy to have his treat taken away. I wasn’t happy to have my treat taste tested by Myles. He of course gave me the it wasn’t me look when I asked him what he was thinking.
Next time you go to the store you’ll have to buy Myles a couple of muffins. I bet he thought they tasted great.
Love the gray of your shaw. Sure is moving along.

oops. It is just too tempting for them. My sister is a Vet and her dog is the WORST counter surfer. HE’s 9 and he still does it. UGh. Oh well, he’s a good dog, Myles just had a moment of weakness

In the same circumstances, I might have done the same thing! Probably wouldn’t waste the crumbs, though.

Oh Myles! Max once ate a quart sized bag of dehydrated potato slices…that was NOT a good day!

Well now I am even happier that I made blueberry jam today and dropped a jar on your doorstep!!! How could he take your whole treat like that?!

Oh, no, Myles! I go shopping about as frequently as you do and those treats are few and far between. My special buy is green chili queso. I’d be crushed to lose it!

The shawl is lovely! I can’t wait to see the lace appear. As for the muffin caper, I hope you find another treat for yourself!

Myles – you’ve got to let your person have her treat 🙂

One of our dogs stole a pork chop from the grill; while I was in the kitchen wiping it off, she stole another one. Oh, Bear, how we miss you!
