Blooming

Not a great photo. Sorry about that. The sun was behind me and I had a hard time seeing my phone screen. What you see are cherry blossoms. Loads of them in two different varieties.

As you can see we had a gorgeous day yesterday. It was about 60f and there was a light wind. The Husband and I got a nice walk, maybe 3.5 miles. It’s the first time we’ve been out in nearly a week.

We also went grocery shopping. I’m happy to say some of the things that have been missing are back. We were able to get some meat. Unfortunately the produce department was wiped out of lettuce, cucumbers, grapes and assorted greens. This trip to the store was less stressful than the last few. People seemed calmer. Most people are getting used to the one way aisles. Everyone is wearing masks though not all correctly. I’m glad I bought enough for a couple of weeks. I’m in no hurry to go back.

  1. I’m curious whether this seller has made up the name knitty knotty as a quirky alternative to the actual name niddy noddy. Niddy Noddy is in the Oxford dictionary and has its own Wikipedia page and is technically what that is. Perhaps it’s just their fun idea to have a knitting related play on the word? 🤷‍♀️ It’s pretty cool what they can make with 3D printing though, there’s even food 3D printers now!

Our produce section was empty this week too! I did notice that everything else seemed better though:)

  5. Love coming trees. I hear you on not going back. We’ve been using instacart. I don’t go unless it’s something we need that can’t wait. I’ve only been a coupe times to date. My fear is that we become complacent. I’m glad you guys got out though. It’s amazing what interaction does for the mind.

  6. It looked like they had removed the arrows from the floor in the grocery store today – not that anyone paid them much mind anyway. The only thing that was empty was the pasta section, they even had paper towels! Hard to believe that in this country, we’ve actually gotten to a point where we’re excited when a store isn’t out of something.

  7. What a beautiful day out, and those cherry trees are lovely! It’s a nice feeling to know you won’t have to go to the store anytime soon, isn’t it 🙂
