WIP Wednesday: More Recognizable

Yesterday was a busy day spent puttering around the house while attending to the corned beef and cabbage dinner. The meal was excellent and by the time it was put on the table I had gotten some chores done and a few rows of knitting done. Then once I sat for a bit I had more rows done. What you see above finally looks more sock- like.

Have you settled into a rhythm with your extended amount of time at home? We’ve gotten good at keeping ourselves busy. Over the course of the day we take a walk or two to break things up and I will admit to getting a few more chores done than normal. Stay well!

I have not done my house chores this week, though I did sweep all the hardwood floors yesterday, which is the entire house. Yesterday was busy, I taught all my kids on line, and though it went pretty well, it is exhausting when they aren’t used to it! I think I need to move some of my newer kids to spread them out a bit if this continues. You have to work extra hard to help them understand, and I need a break in between! Other than that, it is pretty normal, since we are home bodies anyway. 😉 The sock is looking great!

I haven’t settled yet. We don’t have the best communication at my school district, so we are in a holding pattern at the moment. Drives me freaking nuts!

I have definitely settled into a rhythm and been surprisingly productive. I fear the day that I run out of things haha

  4. Dang it. Now the sock looks so cool I want to try knitting it. I haven’t started tidying up yet, but I have started thinking about it, which is an improvement. We’re trying to get outside as much as possible, which meant for a surprise muddy bath when we got in today.

  5. You are right – your sock is looking more sock-like. Very cool! Sounds like you guys are settling into a routine, which can be very helpful in stressy situations. Take care and have fun with your knitting!

Love, love this progress, Karen. I usually wake up around 8; my husband wakes up around 5:30. He feels he works way more at home than he did on site at work. I wake up my kids and the cats (no longer kittens as of yesterday) run out to eat in the kitchen.
