Sock It To Me Monday

I have nearly finished the leg of the Slip It Simple Sock. There just weren’t enough hours to my Sunday to get those last 10 or so rows done.

Sunday was for grocery shopping, banking, food prep, laundry and Pokemon Go. I got a little walking in but not as much as I should have.

How was your weekend? Did you get some crafting in?

  1. Your sock is look great! Love that pattern with that yarn 🙂 Mine was mostly laundry and packing and laying around moaning that I don’t want to travel next week. But amongst all that I did get a little knitting done 🙂

  2. Loving your sock. I usually knit mine on magic loop circulars not on DPNs as I am not so good with them. My weekend was actually rather crafty as my husband had to work so I did lots of crafting to keep myself from distracting him.

Still working on my knit butterfly dishcloth! I had to tear it out again. I’m hoping it will come out this time. I figured out how to make the wings look good, but I was doing a cast on of 30 and with the increases it was just too big. Even for a washcloth. I reverted back to a 24 stitch cast on.

  5. Another couple of inches on the current sweater – and I refrained from adding to my stash at the yarn shop in Troy that’s going out of business! Almost bought needles that I really don’t need, because they are so beautiful – and managed to keep myself in check.

  6. I hand delivered the ruana I was knitting for my S-I-L. She loved it. Alas no photos of her wearing it. ☹️

I feel like I am doing more ripping out on one of my projects than anything else. I did cast on another pair of socks, and I am swatching a new yarn for Love Note.

  8. I’m interested to see how your socks stretch–I made a pair of the slipped stitch socks last year and I find I rarely wear them since they don’t stretch like my other socks. What I’m wondering is if it’s something I’m doing wrong in the way I’m knitting or if it’s the slip stitch that makes the difference…

Mostly sewing, but I did get some knitting in! Not finished with the cowl, but edging closer.

I did actually knit a couple of rows this weekend! My main achievement was marking lines on a new batch of squares I’m going to use in a quilt.
