To The Bone

Yesterday was one of those days where a bunch of disconnected things happened. They filled much of the day but I still managed to squeeze in enough knitting time to get the first sock done. I’ll kitchener the toe later. I’m really happy with the speed with which I got this sock done. So now I’m on to the second one!

One of yesterday’s disconnected things was a quick doctor’s appointment. She said my stomach pain is a bit of a mystery. Since it’s mostly gone she isn’t particularly worried. She did send me for blood work. Now we’ll wait and see what that has to say.

Best of luck with the blood work; I hope they get to the bottom of things. I absolutely love the sock. I was going to cast on a pair in a solid, but I really like how it breaks up the colors. I’m going to knit up the Carolina Panther colorway I referenced in one of my previous blog posts. Should be pretty.

I just had blood work done, now an ultrasound of my liver, always had elevated liver enzymes, but she wants to figure out why. We chased stomach pain in my youngest, ended up being H-Pylori, not a fun thing, hope they find out what’s up with you.

Wow that was fast! Love the colors. I’ve only ever knit oversized wool slipper socks. After reading your blog I want to try more. Watching you I also want to practice more with dpns. I have a sock cast on circulars, which is made of wool fingering yarn. It takes forever to make progress!! Still praying for you about the stomach problems.

I also have tiny nine inch circulars, but they were 2mm!
They hurt my fingers when I first started, but I got used to it some. I’m not sure if a bigger gauge would be more comfortable. My other dedicated sock circulars are 3.25mm, but they are so long. (I was told to get at least 36″ for making socks!) Of course I have a few cheap pairs that are made with stiff plastic tubing.
