An Assortment Of Things

  • I knit 10 rows last night on the sock but I am still quite a way from finishing by tomorrow. I don’t think it will happen. I’ll shoot for Monday.
  • Yesterday was labeled “things to annoy you day”. I spent the day dealing with things that shouldn’t have been an issue but were because one person or another didn’t do their job. Story of my life.
  • Myles has learned not one but two new tricks. He now lays across my legs when he naps so if I move he wakes up. What he doesn’t know is I can’t get up even if I want to because both of my legs are asleep. Wait, maybe that was his plan. The second trick is a bad one. He’s decided that the mail is his new toy. I had to chase him today to get the bank statement. This isn’t good!
  • The Husband and I have a social engagement tomorrow night. A Valentine’s Day dinner out with a group of acquaintances. I’m nervous. It’s been a long time since I’ve made small talk with new friends.

  1. He reminds me of our poodle Pepé that we had when I was a child (as in Pepé le Pew 😂). I think he lived up to his name by rolling in fox poo when he got the chance. He was like a warm hot water bottle when he cuddled up.

  2. Oh dear, I wonder where he learned those tricks!

Our dogs’ tricks is to lay as close as possible to our legs on the bed, so we can’t move or shift without impacting them. I end up in cramped positions, Hubster just moves them out of the way. LOL

Razz has to have at least one paw touching us at all times. My son did too when he was a babe and the intention was to totally know out every move.

Myles is trying to help you get your socks finished by tomorrow. That is why he is laying on your legs so you can not move. Or maybe he is doing it so he can grab the mail and since your legs are asleep, you can not chase him. Take your pick.

Don’t be nervous. Remember, everyone likes to talk about themselves. Ask a thoughtful question and then sit back and listen.

  8. it took me an hour to pry myself out from under the cats this morning. I understand.

Social engagements: no reason to talk if you have nothing to say! You’ll come across as wise.

  9. MacKenzie: dont give that mail back until you get a dog treat!!

Oh, no! Good luck with that. Maybe you can fashion a safety net for the mail delivery system?

  12. Myles! Hope the social engagement went OK. I’m not thrilled with making small talk with new people either.
