WIP Wednesday: Accountability Report Edition

I’ve reached the colorwork section of sock number two and that loud noise you heard was the screeching brakes of my knitting speed. I knit colorwork so slowly. A tortoise moves faster.

I had extra knitting time yesterday when my knitting neighbor came over in the morning for crafting. She brought along her cross stitch and I worked on my sock. She even brought along cake which was a delicious treat. Thank you knitting neighbor. We will do it again soon!

I finished off the cake for my breakfast. It was much more tasty shared with a friend… Now I have to do laundry sigh…

How I miss having neighbors who do some sort of handwork crafts. So glad you didn’t catch second sock syndrome.

  6. I’ve wanted to try colorwork for a long time but I’ve procrastinated because I know that the setup is probably a lot. Good for you that you’ve learned it and are practicing it!

You beat up on yourself! It matters not what speed we knit with, it just matters that we are knitting!!

  8. How wonderful to have a crafting neighbor to spontaneously sit with!
I saw your comment about not having learned the two-handed method for stranded color work. I’m in the same boat, but I do a lot of stranded color work the slow way and I don’t really mind it. Slowing down for color work also keeps you from making a lot of mistakes! 😉

  9. So neat that you have a crafty neighbor to hang out with! It really does make things go better when you have friends to socialize with. And when they bring cake, that is pretty tough to beat! You sock is looking great!
