WIP Wednesday: To The Heel

So there hasn’t been lots of knitting. I’ve finally finished the leg and moved on to the heel. At this point I’ve basically thrown much of the pattern out the window. I’ve knit the sock top down instead of toe up. Now I’ve started a heel flap instead of the short row heel that the pattern calls for. It just fits me better. I really have nothing against short row heels.

What have I been doing instead of knitting? Good question. I’m not sure. I think I’ve just been losing minutes doing time wasting things like Pokemon Go, bingo on the iPad and just puttering around the house.

I have convinced myself that puttering around or watching tv in the evening is beneficial after a long day at work!

Puttering is sometimes necessary! I am trying to be very purposeful this week, because next week could become crazy. Mostly, I am trying get myself to work on my hand quilting while I wait on my wrist. I finally picked it up last night and now I don’t know why I was putting it off. That whole getting started thing you know! The sock is looking good, very cheery. 🙂

It is so pretty. Heels that fit and feel right are the only way I knit my socks. Fortunately I have 2 heels I absolutely love on me so I interchange them depending on the oattern.8

  5. Tis the season for puttering. I usually change a short row heel to a heel flap. I like the fit so much more.

  6. It is beautiful and going great! And why not take your time if that’s what you feel like doing 🙂

When I have stuff that I need/want to do, it’s amazing how much time I spend doing other things!!

I can sometimes get stuck on Youtube, LOL. I’ve discovered a Korean drama after liking some of its soundtrack songs on Spotify.

Also working on socks, needed a break from the Celtic Cowl pattern. My eyes will never be the same…76 row pattern. Beautiful but trying on the brain.
