Things I Thought About On The Weekend

  • Why aren’t weekends always long weekends? The three days spread out before you look so full of possibility.
  • On Saturday we went to the state cross country meet. It was darn cold. I wore a wool hat and cowl along with wool socks and sweater. I was still cold. Besides the obvious my favorite part of going to a meet at this location is the dogs. So many people bring their dogs. There were big ones and small ones, some in sweaters and others without. There was a corgi, a lab, a cute puppy of unknown breed and a few standard poodles. Myles would have loved it but I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the meet or the other dogs had he been with us.
  • If people at the grocery store drive their shopping carts so horribly, how do they drive cars? Stay to the right people!
  • Why does the smell of pizza always remain on my clothes so that hours later I can still smell it? Now I want pizza again.
  • Starting a new knitting project is so exciting. Finishing a project is as exciting. Why is the middle part, the actual working on the project kind of dull?
  • Today is Veterans Day. Thank a veteran if you see one.
  • What were you thinking about over the weekend?

My mind often wanders the way yours does–just here and there, pondering trivial, and occasionally profound, stuff!

    2. Two of our grandkids are with us. We take them back home later today. Though I love them dearly, I was thinking about how we raised two kids but can’t deal with kids now for more than a couple of days at a time.

I don’t like smelling like food, even though I like the smell of food. I worked on my Weekender. I’ve been pretty monogamous. Maybe I will finish this weekend?

    5. You have interesting thoughts! I was mostly thinking about an upcoming trip and also about whether I am going to be able to finish all the knitting projects I’d like to by the end of the year.

I hate it when ppl leave their shopping carts in places other than where they’re supposed to go. I yelled at this one woman who drove a Tesla for leaving her cart between our cars at Costco.
