Sock It To Me Monday

I didn’t get much knitting in on the weekend. I had hoped to get the leg of the sock completed but I still have a dozen or so rows to go.

The weekend was chock full of obligations/chores. We lost a lot of Saturday to the meet and then Sunday involved grocery shopping, raking leaves and laundry. I even cooked a big meal complete with roast beef and multiple vegetables. I love a Sunday afternoon in the kitchen. I got the rest of the laundry done and then it was time for TV and bed. Hopefully there will be more leisure time for knitting over the next few days.

How was your weekend? Did you get time to work on your crafts?

Mmmm roast beef! Worth sacrificing knitting time!

I worked hard on a knit baby dress, got it about half done. It needs to get done pronto, so it will be my focus this week.

I spent the entire day working on my current distraction from my main project (my son’s Christmas sweater) it an apple green double long cowl in a fun latticework and reverse stockinette stitch in DMC merino. Another day and I’ll be done. Why didn’t I do these cowls before? Unlike scarves or shawls, they can’t slip off and go incredibly quick. Plus so many fun patterns on Ravelry. This is my second one.

  5. I baked bread on Saturday and did get some knitting done. Yesterday after church and a waffle and bacon brunch, I went to Joann’s to get a few things for the twins birthday next month then to the market. I was gone for over three hours! We had a delicious roast beef dinner with assorted veggies, too…something I’ve been craving for months.

Still, lots of progress on that sock! This weekend Saturday was busy with make up piano lessons and a friend came from out of town for a visit, but I did get a bit of knitting in before church, and spent the afternoon quilting a wall hanging, so it feels like I got something done!

I could only knit all weekend as we were away from home. But I knit every day.

  8. I went to a scrapbook fundraiser on Saturday, so I was able to get a little scrapbooking done. Sunday was all chores. I was able to sit down last night and finish up a granny square I had started. So, a little bit of crafting. Hopefully you will be able to finish your sock this week 🙂

  9. OOOH – what a gorgeous remote cozy! Seriously, that pattern looks better and better –

  10. Finished and blocked the sweater that’s been the major project lately; nearly finished the shawl I put aside to work on sweater. As soon as I have photos, they’ll be on my blog.

Lazy weekend here as usual. I went out for a GNO across the bridge yesterday and today I baked cookies and have been washing our sheets, comforter, and blanket.
