Quick Knitting

After taking the summer off the ladies and I met at the local coffee shop to knit yesterday. It was the most pleasant quickest 2 hours. We are going to do it again.

While I was there I knit on the cable sock. Personal note: Cast on something mindless for public knitting before next time. It’s hard to knit cables and chat.

As you can see the sock is working up quickly. It’s another one of those patterns that is easy to remember so I don’t have to look at the pattern. I do have to keep track of the rows though or my cable crosses would be happening at the wrong time.

The pattern calls for 7 repeats. That just isn’t going to be a long enough cuff for my liking so I’m just going to keep knitting for a few more repeats. I’m currently at 7.5. Maybe 10 repeats will be enough.

  1. I have a group of friends I knit with weekly. It is the greatest way to end my week! And I totally agre-mindless knitting is the right thing to bring. Otherwise I end up ripping out what I just did all too often.

I’ve been itching to do something with cables lately. I found a really lovely Saxon cable cowl thing that I need to make.
