WIP Wednesday: Sock Major Project 1

There are certain knit items I think of as iconic. Cabled socks are one of those items. You would think I’d have knit many pairs since I have a love of cables but I have not. There were some red cabled kneesocks that didn’t work out. This is my attempt at actually ending up with red cabled socks.

This will be my first Loopy Academy Grad School project. The requirement I am meeting with this pattern is to knit from a chart.

  2. Grad school has you reading from a chart?? How about designing a chart? That seems much more a graduate level project! That being said, the sock is gorgeous, so far. I’m working on one, too, to replace one that got lost so I’ll have a complete pair again. I have no idea where the pattern’s gone, so I’m counting stitches a lot and recreating the original chart. Cables on mine, also.

I love cabled socks!! I made a pair ages ago and now cannot figure out where they went to, I lost them along the way. Sniff-sniff.

Cables are timeless and they really pop in this color.
