FO On Sunday: Yup It’s Done!

The Fast Fade Cowl is finished! Boy did this get dragged out. Some projects are like that I suppose. It really is a mostly mindless knit which was perfect for between my Camp projects. But I should have had it done much quicker.

The pattern is Fast Fade Cowl by Molly Klein Design. The yarn is Yarn Bee Pigment & Fiber available at Hobby Lobby. The yarn is an acrylic/wool/nylon blend that is soft to the touch and has a tiny bit of fuzziness to it. The price point is very good for a nice amount of yarn. The pattern is simple to follow. I think this might have scratched my fade itch. While I like the look of faded projects I can’t say I love knitting them.

It’s really nice. Is this for you? Or a gift? Are they separate colors of yarn? They must be or it would be easy to knit. Lol.

  4. It will be nice and warm this winter. I haven’t knit a fade project yet, and I am not sure I’m going to. With knitting brioche and a cropped sweater I feel like I’ve already reached my limit for knitting popular items right now.

I haven’t done a fade item, but I love the look of them. The cowl looks great! Will be nice on those walks when the weather turns cold.

It looks beautiful. Does the ribbed part sit at the bottom around your neck?

That came out nice, and the gray will go with everything! I get tempted by the whole fade thing, but also don’t care about knitting it. However, I will spin it! I love spinning two different colorways into a gradient or a fade. I am knitting up my first one, I have at least one more in stash and one on the wheel. 🤪
