WIP Wednesday: When You Discover You Missed Something

So I was knitting along doing the last couple of rows of the chart when I realized something was amiss. Quickly I went to check photos online and then read through the next section of the pattern. What was I missing? On the next very careful read through (out loud so I didn’t miss a word) I discovered that I had to knit nearly a dozen rows I hadn’t planned into my schedule. ACK! I rearranged my plans for the day and knit my fingers to the bone so to speak. I still have a few more rows and the never ending bind off to do. That is my plan for today. As a plus I’ve used more than the required 600 yards of yarn for Camp.

You already have it well in hand; maybe you needed the extra knitting therapy? You’ll make it 🚀.

I have no doubt you will finish, and if you didn’t no one was harmed, so shrug off the panic and just enjoy the knitting!! A philosophy I am trying to not forget as I make up arbitrary deadlines in my life. I don’t have a challenge set by anyone I create my own! LOL

How annoying! I’m on with my first shawl and there are 10 pattern repeats to the middle shaping then 10 more to the edge and I thought I didn’t need stitch markers. I’ve taken it back 7 rows twice and now back to the 5th row WITH stitch markers. That’ll teach me, taking back 14 rows x 250 stitches of lace pattern.
