How do you feel about stitch markers? As you can see I’ve got a bunch on this project. The stitch repeat is fairly short, about 12 stitches, but there are many increases and decreases so I want to be sure I catch any mistake before I get too far. I’ve completed the 4th pattern repeat and started the 5th. There is still a lot of yarn left from that first skein.
Bling!

Big yes to stitch markers! I like little plain ones where there a bunch of repeats, but I do have lots of fancy ones with charms and so on, so I like to use those too where I can. But if there needs to be a lot of marking, it gets too heavy and complicated to have lots of the fancy ones. Your shawl is looking great! You are making great progress!

Stitch markers are my friends:). A pain to put in to get established, but faithful to keep me on the straight and narrow of the pattern repeats!

Stitch markers and lifelines are necessary for me if the pattern has any fussy bits. The piece is looking good, love the color.

I learned how to use stitch markers about two years ago, and they are so helpful. mine are just plain little circles, but they have become very good friends!

I love stitch markers. If there is anything complicated in the pattern, or if the pattern is so easy I’m likely to space off, I use them passionately. They have saved me from so many mistakes.

Stitch markers are a godsend! They are a necessity for so many patterns, especially for the cardigan pattern I’m knitting right now.

I wouldn’t do without them in my knitting. When I first learned to knit I made my own by cutting down the plastic tabs used on bread bags to rounded circles. I have bought ones now that lock/unlock.

I love stitch markers, but I just can’t seem to hold onto them. There must be a stitch marker black hole somewhere in my flat!

I am such a sloth I don’t use them because they can be such a faff but then get very cross with myself because I have made a mistake!!!😎

I love them! I’ve made myself several sets with beads, they’re easy and fun and don’t take much in the way of materials. 🙂

I love stitch markers! If you follow me on IG you might remember the giant pile of them I got when I bound off biophilia last week. They make lace so much easier! Markers and lifelines, ahhhh!

Stitch markers are very helpful. I used to love the dangly kind but don’t anymore as they get caught in the fabric. I don’t mind the dangly as progress keepers though.

When I knit lace I couldn’t keep the repeats straight without my stitch markers. Use them always. They travel with all my knitting.
