Happy Independence Day to those in the US and Happy Thursday to everyone!
We finally caved this morning and brought the air conditioner up from the basement and put it in the living room. It isn’t just that it’s hot but we’ve reached our limit of humidity.
I have taken advantage of the cooling house and the skipping of outside chores to spend my day knitting. It’s hard to tell looking at the blob that it has gotten quite a bit bigger. I’m enjoying the pattern and yarn. Most of all I’ve been trying to think loose gauge for the edge stitches. My tendency is to pull the yarn tight and I’m really trying not to create an edge with very limited stretch.
We don’t have anything special planned for today. If you’re celebrating enjoy and stay safe!
Happy Independence Day and your knitting.

Happy 4th to you! Knitting in AC sounds like a great idea!

Sounds the perfect way to spend the fourth. Ours was similar, minis the AC. That might happen today.

Lots of knitting today, me included! We also had a quiet 4th, with major storms last night, but thankfully no tornados or hail, though its flooding down stream now. It’s been a deluge this week, and VERY humid, but it cooled off last night.

We are slowly warming back up today. My teen played tennis this late morning and was sweatin up a storm. At what temperature do you finally throw in the towel and turn on the AC?

We don’t really have a temperature. When the humidity gets bad and it’s difficult to sleep that is when the air conditioner goes on.

Some day that blob will be bigger, just you wait and see!

Omg, how do you do it? We have central air and still I’m constantly checking for humidity in the house! Horrors if it gets to my arm stash!
