I have a love/hate relationship with nature. I love the furry and feathered animals. I tolerate the scaly ones. I love pretty flowers and majestic trees. I hate the pollen that makes me miserable. What I don’t like is when the animal and plant worlds collide in my yard. One of the cute fuzzy bunnies decided that the petunias that I placed in a pot on the front steps were a snack. All the pretty flowers are gone! The leaves are untouched so hopefully that means more buds and flowers will appear. There are more tasty snacks around the yard so hopefully the bunny will find something else to eat and leave this pot alone.

Nooooooo!!! Bunneh attack! So sad when something so cute does something so horrible. Very much hoping your petunia grows back OK and the bunnies find something else to eat that is not any of your other plants!

I can imagine the flowers must have been very tasty indeed. Keeping my fingers crossed you get flowers again from it, as it seems to be very happy still.
I use pepper in my house plants to keep kitty away from them. Maybe it will help outside a bit too. 🙂

I hear you – last year there was a baby fox visiting our allotment, which was great: fox digging up our newly planted lavender – less great! Ditto beautiful butterflies versus them laying their eggs on our broccoli so the caterpillars can munch their way through it. And I love birds and feed them homemade fat balls, but they can keep their beaks off my raspberries!

I’ve got a bunny family romping around here, too. Three toddlers and their mom. They haven’t nibbled on anything in my flower pots or flower beds yet, but, they are keeping my dog busy with her quick mad dashes chasing them away. So far, she hasn’t caught one.
Now, with those petunias, they should develop a stronger root system without those pesky flowers to support. 😉

I put some moth balls in my flowerbeds to keep stray kitties away… I wonder if that would work for bunnies too? So far the rabbits are leaving my flowers alone here.

I feel the same way! The bunnies and deer prune things in my yard, but not the things that need pruning!

Last year the deer ripped my pansies out by the roots multiple times!

I had to put 99% of our flowering plants on our second story deck. Deers need to eat……
although the leave the clematis alone!

I hAve one word for this issue: Rabbitscram. It comes in a handy rezippable bag and is sold at the garden store.
