The Peonies are in bloom! Though there are only two this year. The green part looks great. I don’t know why there aren’t more flowers. Maybe next year.

Mine are blooming too! Last year I didn’t get very many blooms, but this year seems better (but not super loaded). I just wish the peony season lasted a little longer. I’ve been enjoying bouquets all over the house!

Did you plant or transplant it recently? My peonies took a few years to establish themselves, but now the are exploding all over the place!

No. They’ve been there for 20 years. I’m wondering if they would benefit from an extra boost of fertilizer in the early spring.

Did you fertilize them at all? Peonies will often react with fewer blooms if they get too much nitrogen.
Other common causes are not enough sun (did a new tree bock more sun than in the past?) and cutting back the foliage too early in the fall. Peonies need the cold winter to set the buds, but that’s not usually a problem in most places.
