Vernal Pool

Yesterday after dinner The Husband and I took a walk. We are so lucky to live near conservation land and on this land there is a vernal pool. There has been so much activity there the last few times we’ve visited. The bullfrogs were very loud. There were even turtles visible on the branches that are partially submerged. It was so peaceful.

That looks so quiet, a great place to sit for a moment and think…..or knit!

That’s so cool. This is the first time I’ve heard of a vernal pool. How neat to see frogs. I don’t think I’ve seen one out in the wild before, only at the aquarium.
