Seen While Out And About

The Husband has been going to physical therapy for his aching back for a few weeks. When we’ve got something planned for after I’ll tag along and knit in the waiting room. Today was much better than usual. There were turkeys below the large wall of windows so I was able to watch them poke around in the dirt looking for a little breakfast. I was only able to get 3 in the photo. There were 5 total. If you could see this area (a complex of office buildings along side a highway) you’d be wondering like I am, why do these turkeys live in this area?

  2. We get turkeys and baby turkeys around the woods here from time to time. They eat ticks so I like them

  3. Maybe they work nearby? 😀
No, seriously. They are so neat to see around and about! We used to see them in our woods when I lived in Pa.

The other night we had a goose in the backyard looking for love, or something. At 1:00 AM!! Shouldn’t they have a curfew?

I find wild turkeys so trippy to see in posts and even here where I live I saw them once in a residential area. I joked and said they were too scrawny for Thanksgiving.

I live on a golf course and you should see how many turkeys we have. Sometimes they scare me to death looking in my windows on the deck! 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃

Why do they live there? Because they find food (somehow).
