Marginal Progress

I have been monogamous with the baby blanket (except when knitting out of the house) and there has been a bit of progress. I included the yarn ball to give an idea of the size of the blanket. I’ll guess I’m 2 1/2 inches longer than when I finished the first yarn ball.

I’ve been trying to think good thoughts as I knit this baby blanket as I try to do with all the knits I plan to gift. It keeps my tension a bit looser and hopefully adds a little love to the gift. Do you like to think good thoughts for the people you’re knitting gifts for?

  1. Yes, definitely! Especially for baby things – usually such a happy occasion to knit for 🙂 Your blanket is looking great and you are really making great progress on it!

It’s just beautiful, is the color a soft grey or blue?

  3. Yes, I do. I love to think about the recipient in all things I make. Helps me get through the tedious or diff in bits.

  4. Absolutely! Mr. Aitch’s niece is expecting a boy in July so I can get started on some knitting.

  5. The blanket is looking so sweet! I can just imagine a precious little one wrapped up in it and feeling warm and safe. I absolutely think happy thoughts when I stitch. I think it helps with tension, too.

Cute squirrel, My brother is caring for an abandoned baby and trying to teach it to forage. Videos of his efforts are hilarious. I hear you on the clutter, my sewing room is piled with projects and materials and stuff right now. It almost makes it hard to create with all the mess!! I absolutely do think good thoughts while knitting for others. Maybe we should do the same for ourselves? Sorry, playing catchup from being out of the house the last 3 days. OK, so Sunday it was actually a nap between church and Super Bowl party. LOL

The blanket looks great and I like how the stitch pattern is an intuitive and easy one.
