I finished the hat on Saturday. The plan was to block it but things didn’t go according to plan. I was distracted on Sunday and just never popped it into the sink. Monday N had a meet and it was unpleasantly cold: 5f. I ended up wearing the hat to the meet. I knew it would be crazy warm with its wool alpaca blend. It’s was heavenly to wear!
The pattern is Coronet by Hannah Paton. The yarn is Bare Naked Wools better breakfast dk in daybreak which I got in a swap with Alissa. The purple is leftover Cascade 220. The pattern is easy to follow. It comes in sizes from newborn to large adult. I went with the large adult since I often have a ponytail to tuck into my hats. The pattern is available for free on Ravelry. This was the first time I’ve used Bare Naked Wools yarn and it won’t be the last. It is lovely. I really like a wool alpaca blend. It’s nice and soft but also extra warm. I highly recommend both the pattern and the yarn.
