FO: Sigh of Relief Edition

The socks are done. I’m so glad. I was beyond tired of them. I know in a few days I’ll be happy with them.

The yarn is Fresh From The Cauldron Schoodic Sock in clam basket. The pattern is the one I keep in my head: 64 stitches, 6″ leg, heel flap and round heel. This is the sock that fits my feet best.

The yarn is lovely. It’s the perfect mix of just soft enough for wearing but sturdy enough for wearing on your feet. It is 25% nylon so it wears quite well. I will use this yarn again.

Now that I’m free of this WIP I shall move on to the next.

Very pretty! I’m not a sock knitter. Hardly worth it for Phoenix, and my old feet are so sensitive, most socks bother me. (Think Princess and the Pea.) I mostly wear flips flops in summer, which is basically May through October, and Uggs when it gets cold (December-February). I do like sock yarn, but have mainly knitted Susan B. Anderson toys with it.

  8. That’s the same pattern I use. People often tell me that I should try toe up with different heel/gusset shaping, but when you find *perfect* it’s a tough sell.

    Love that yarn!
