Two Photos

Yesterday when I was waiting for H at the subway the sky felt so low. These clouds, the end of a storm passing overhead, were moving so quickly. They looked quite ominous. Right above them was bright blue sky. It was interesting to watch.

This is a different heron at a different lake than last time. This one wasn’t as still. Just moments after this it moved location and possibly grabbed something from the water. It happened so quickly that in the moment I looked away I’d missed it.

I’m so glad I caught both of these things. It’s surprising what you see when you take the time to really look.

I read a post yesterday where she had taken pictures of leaves from the shade side, so they glowed with the backlight of the sun. Makes me want to go find those gorgeous golds, reds, and oranges and take backside photos of them.

Yes, the sky was really ominous looking yesterday! In one direction it would be quite dark and menacing looking, and in the other direction it was clear blue and sunny. Nice photos – thanks for sharing!
