Fall through Spring Loopy Challenge

The Loopy Ewe has announced the theme and requirements for their next challenge which will run as two semesters through April. I’m quite excited to have a new challenge to knit for and have ordered a lot of some yarn. I even have a tentative list of patterns for September through December which I’ll share now.

  • After having a pretty serious case of knitting ennui I hope I haven’t planned too much. I’m excited enough that I have picked the Sockhead cowl up a few times and put on 3 or 4 rows. Let’s hope the excitement continues to build.

What a fun list of knitting choices! Did the truck come and deliver your yarn yet? 🙂 Of course, I am quite partial to the Close to You shawl as I have been knitting many, many versions of it pretty much non-stop for the past year (makes a great gift). Thanks for the reminder that there ARE other patterns out there that want to be knitted too! 🙂

The socks are wicked cool and they remind me of Socks on a Plane. Trillian is a really good pattern for many 4-ply yarns and it’s a fast knit. In fact, I’ll be posting a picture of my recently finished Trillian tomorrow. The Perfect Retreat Shawl probably needs the maximum yardage. It just looks like the lace pattern needs to be spread out over a long length to appreciate it. I suppose the designer designed for smaller amounts of yarns to appeal to people who would get tired of knitting all that lace!

Boy, that Loopy Ewe is smart in how it drums up more business through these challenges.
