First a story. The other day Myles went to the vet for his annual visit. When we arrived he was out of his mind with excitement. His feelings about a visit to the doctor are vastly different than mine. When we entered the waiting room I had a terrible time restraining him. He yipped with delight as if all these people and their pets were there for a party for him and he had to greet them all. When we were called in for his visit and the vet started in on his blood test and nail clipping I realized why he was so excited and considers this a party. He was fed spray cheese while the vet worked on him.
Now a few suggestions. Here are a few super cute patterns that a free on Ravelry for a limited time. I’ll note the end date if there is one.
- Modern Gingham: A plaid cowl done in sport weight. Free until 6/29.
- Off Script: A lovely lace wrap which looks like it would be great for variegated yarn. It says lace weight but a light fingering would probably work too. Free for the summer of 2018.
- A River Runs Through Shawl: Another variegated yarn friendly shawl. This is fingering weight. It is free only until June 23 at 11:59pm.
Enjoy!
Thanks for the heads up on those patterns, the gingham one looks really fun

I think doctors for humans should try the spray cheese method – I know I’d be more excited to go to the doctor if I knew there would be spray cheese involved! 🙂 Myles looks so handsome in the photo.

😆 Max is the same! He once danced on his hind legs on the examining table for the vet! He doesn’t do well with other dogs but he sure gets excited in the waiting room.😳 Those are pretty shawls, you are our Yarn Librarian, providing us writhing interesting selections! Thanks!

My dogs were at the vet Thursday. They don’t know they are supposed to despise that evil vet. But she wins them over with her pats and soothing voice. I wonder if they have heard of the cheese method. LOL!!! Those patterns are lovely.

LOL, there is spray cheese for a dog? What do you think about ppl feeding dogs raw meat? I’ve seen this on IG videos sometimes. I was totally shocked.

Myles eats a commercially available frozen raw food. It looks like a raw hamburger. He loves it.

I had to laugh about the vet visit. Spray cheese. These people are genius. 😂

LOL! He is probably one, rare dog that likes the vet. What a cool and smart vet. Spray cheese, LOL. This reminds me of some of the videos of pediatricians who give a shot to the baby while singing a song and doing hand play motions that make the baby laugh.
