Imagine That

I actually made it to the hardware store and got the nails needed to hang the pictures. Almost all of them are hung so I thought I’d share just a few of the cross stitch ones.

Over the couch I’ve put the Rainbow Row that my mother did back in the 90’s I think. She had it in her living room and I know she’d be pleased that I’ve put it in mine.

This is one that I did. It’s Nubble Light (The Cape Neddick Lighthouse) in York Beach Maine. I love to visit that area, it’s one of my most favorite places. The Husband and I honeymooned there.

This is one of the first cross stitch projects I did way back when we lived in California. It really reminded me of home.

I haven’t done any cross stitch in years though I do still have all my supplies. Knitting has taken over my crafting life completely.

I haven’t done cross stitch in years but I loved it. I need to frame some of the pieces my sister made for me and hang them up.

Isn’t it great to finally get things on the wall? I had an empty living room for 3 years after we moved into our house!! I think we had been there 6 years before I had it painted, furnished and decorated! (I am terrible at that stuff!)

those are very nice! I am glad you got to hang them up again! I don’t do cross stitch much anymore either, but also have loads of supplies and patterns and a few kits. 🙂 But I have my first cross stitch sampler hanging by our back door. I did it when I was a teenager, and it was a stamped one, so not perfect, but I love it. “Wherever you wander, wherever you roam, be happy and healthy and glad to come home” seems just right to see as we head out the door each morning. 🙂

I like how you’ve hung these up. I think framing cross stitch is the best way to go to show off one’s hard work and diligence.

  7. It’s wonderful to see these beautiful pieces displayed and cherished 😊
I love the cross-stitch sampler 💜 I did a few pieces many years ago, but gave it up. Apparently I’m very bad at counting 😂

I have a lot of cross-stitched pieces around the house. I have a little bit of my supplies let but dump a lot of it when I started knitting. Now I sew more than knit, but I am not dumping my yarns!

  10. Sometimes I miss cross stitch……there’s just NO WAY I would have the time to do any since I found yarn though! 😉
