It’s About Time

We had the living room, dining room, hall way and stair way painted two years ago and I’m just now getting around to hanging up the wall decor. It’s going to be a mix of what was hanging in my parents house and what we had before. The mirror above belonged to the original people who owned my parents house.

This mirror used to hang in our dining room but since I hung the other mirroring there I put this one in the living room.

Unfortunately I could find no more nails so the rest of the hanging will have to wait. The hardware store is on the agenda for later in the week.

Blog stuff: Normally I write my blog posts shortly before bed and schedule them to post just after midnight. Our town meeting is tonight and it’s going to be a looooong one so I wrote and scheduled this in the afternoon. There is no way I’ll be fit to write before bed.

they look great, I love mirrors and we actually don’t have any outside of the bathroom!

Town meeting season is here, I hope you had a fun time and saw lots of friends and neighbors and that you don’t wind up hating each other for how you voted! 🙂 Did you bring your knitting along? It saves lives, you know.

We have food sovereignty on the agenda for ours, a hot issue for sure, I plan to bring a cushion to sit on, it will be a long night.

    • I did bring my knitting. There were two women within view crocheting. I ended up leaving after 2 1/2 hours but my friend who stayed said I didn’t miss anything except lots of foolish questions. All the votes went the way I wanted except changing the name of the Board of Selectmen to Select Board. I hate that they have to change things that are historical even if there are women on the board. I’d rather it was Board of Selectpersons if you have to change it at all.

2.5 hours is a long time! So glad you had the knitting. I get lots of my traveling socks done at town meetings. 🙂

I agree – change “men” to “persons” and be done with it. But if you want to start a crazy conversation, ask them to change it to “humans” and then sit back and knit a few rows. 🙂
