I’ve gotten a few more inches done on the front of the vest but that’s not what I want to talk about today. I’ve got a few things on my mind.

  • It snowed a bit yesterday. Nothing stuck on the ground but at one point large flakes were falling from the sky. I’m sure it’s my fault for mentioning signs of spring. I’ll try not to make that mistake again.
  • This week has flown by in a flash and we haven’t done much of anything. The weekend will whip by and then we’ll be knee deep in a regular week that will drag. Why is it always like that?
  • Now that I’ve had my Ott light for a while I wanted to give you a bit of a review. I love it! I don’t know how I survived (could see) without it. If you’re on the fence about whether one would make a difference in your crafting life I say buy one. It was worth every penny and if I have to replace it I won’t hesitate at all. Also we’ve gotten used to the brightness and have figured out how to adjust it down a bit.

I borrowed an Ott light for a project once, they are wonderful! Break weeks can be so bizarre that way. That always happened when I took a random week off at work, I just puttered and it would seem that I got nothing done. I always forgot that resting is a good thing!

I keep looking at the Otts. I just need to jump. But first a rolling case for my new machine and a new steam iron.

Wow that sweater is really coming along, it has grown so much. I do love the panel on the front, so classic, it will always be in style :).

A couple years ago my husband gave me this lamp
for Christmas. It has sat on the table next to my knitting chair ever since and has enabled me to knit dark colors again! I love it. Being able to see what we are doing is such a gift!

Weekends give you a taste of freedom like a dog escaping his yard and going on a joy run in the hood. And then it’s back to reality, yeah?

I love my Ott lights – a floor lamp that I found at a yard sale for $5 (I did the IKEA ad imitation after I bought it – “start the car!!! start the car!!!!”), and a desk top, portable lamp that I use for smaller projects like beading. Best thing ever invented!!
