We spent much of the weekend out and about which really cut into my knitting time. I only got one row on the shawl done. I’ll try to do better today.

While we were out we hit the thrift store. The Husband was poking through the housewares looking for a small watering can for the houseplants. He didn’t find one but he did find this great Texasware splatter bowl. I am a sucker for these bowls. I think I have three of them. Now I have to decide what to serve in it. Maybe a nice salad.

I think it would be great for a salad. Sounds like you could use a break from knitting on the shawl. I’m sure you’ll free all refreshed from not knitting it so you can knit it again!

Ice cream!!! If you can’t knit a good second best way to spend time is in a thrift shop. 😉

How big is the bowl? I say, if it’s big enough, use it as a centerpiece on a table. I occasionally add my knitting the centerpiece bowl. I figure if I see it, I will knit it.

That’s a great find! Salad, pasta or sauce, it looks like it could be a favorite serving bowl very quickly.

Fun find. Our thrift stores around here are a little junky. I told my daughter’s friends SF would be a great place to thrift at. I may take her and another to Hayward to this big, thrift store during spring break.
