4 Day Weekend!

Yesterday was wild. I knew we were going to have a big snowstorm and since N and H were home I thought a substantial breakfast was in order. Pancakes with butter and real maple syrup! Delicious and guilt-free because of all the necessary shoveling.

This is early in the storm before the bulk of the snow had fallen and the wind picked up. I’ll post a photo showing the same view tomorrow once the snow is cleared. We won’t be rushing our snow shoveling because school has been canceled again!

I treated myself to casting on the Cowl Latvian Blooms even though the socks aren’t done. I’ve only got 4 rows done so no photo. About 200 stitches of fingering weight yarn has caused me to reconsider my fantasy project. I no longer want to knit a cardigan in fingering weight yarn. I’ll post a photo of the cowl tomorrow.

Snow days are always fun! Especially when work is also called off! The pancakes look wonderful, I think I’ll have to make some tomorrow! Fingering is a little much doe a cardigan, but sport always goes better for me, especially if it’s color work.๐Ÿ˜„ have fun knitting!

You had me drooling over your talk of pancakes; I haven’t made those for ages. There’s supposedly a good pancake house around here. That’s a good layer of snow; yay for the kids who have a snow day.

We are the same. I would not want to knit a large project in such a small gauge, unless a lace patten. Your pancakes look delicious. I have been reading your posts in backwards order in my reader. I hope you are feeling all better today! I like the green in the cowl, shown in your latest post.

  14. How amazing to have snow days and get to stay home. ๐Ÿ™‚ We here in the Southern Hemisphere are just not that lucky. We have heatwaves, but still not the day off. Lovely snow pic, thank you!
