Just For Balance

A Day in The Country

We threw ourselves in the car fairly early yesterday morning and headed west.

The view out the window was decidedly different than Tuesday. We saw lots of green.

We saw lots of water, some of it blue and some very not blue.

One of our stops was a butterfly place where they had hundreds of butterflies we were able to observe up close. They were each unique and beautiful.

N was less than thrilled with them flying all around him. Fortunately he enjoyed the tortoises and assorted critters that were kept in cages.

I particularly liked these tiny button quail babies. To give you an idea just how small they are, that dish was about 5 inches across.

Of course this was the best stop of the day. It was a fast visit but a good one. More about that tomorrow.

I love it! Those butterflies had some amazing colors; did they influence your yarn shopping?😊

Great photos of the butterflies, and even better ending photo, you cannot go wrong with a finish line of yarn

What great views you had on this road trip. And how neat you can take a drive to WEBS.

Weren’t the clouds beautiful yesterday??! The butterflies are gorgeous. I want yarn the color of the first one! And a stop at Webs? You lucky, lucky girl! 🙂 It was a complete opposite day from your day in the city.

  5. Awesome, I like the butterflies but the tiny quail babies are super adorable. Great road trip, and of course, must pass at WEBS when in the area. 🙂
