Yesterday I was putting in the recycling buckets and trash barrel when something yellow caught my eye. Partially buried under the leaves that never got raked in the fall I found a little bunch of daffodils that the rabbit missed. I moved the leaves and was surprised to see how many flowers there were. I left them uncovered. They’ve been documented here so if the rabbit eats them it won’t matter.

What a nice surprise to find peeking up out of the leaves! Maybe the rabbit will be astounded by the beauty and leave them alone!
