It dawned on me yesterday, or maybe it was the day before, when I was just knitting along on the sock how pleasant it felt. Just knitting round and round. Knitting the heel flap, turning the heel and knitting the gusset decreases. I realized how calm and contented I felt. Sock knitting does that to me in a way that no other kind of knitting doesn’t. Sock knitting is my yoga, my mental therapy. Just knitting round and round and round. It is heavenly.

I think it’s been a little while since you’ve worked on a sock, so it must feel really nice to get back to your comfort zone. And this sock is just beautiful!
