Unplanned Thrift Shop Visit

We were out and about running the usual weekend errands: groceries, BJ’s and lunch. When we were at our last stop H asked if we could look in the thrift store. The yarn section was a bust but I did find a couple of things in the book section. First up is the Cook’s All-Time Best Recipes. It’s got some recipes I’m really interested in trying: Blueberry pie, Memphis-Style BBQ Spareribs, NY-Style Thin-Crust Pizza and Chewy Brownies. The other book is Rose Levy Beranbaum’s The Pie and Pastry Bible. Most everything in this one interests me. It’s got every kind of pie, plus pastries, ice cream, whipped cream, lemon curd and hot fudge sauce. I wonder what I should make first.
