Here We Go…Again

This photo was taken yesterday afternoon. The snow began falling and is supposed to continue well into today. School has been cancelled for the third day in a row. It’s like a little vacation. We did manage to get out to the grocery store yesterday with everyone else. It was wild. There were bare sections of shelves: potato chips and Coke. We bought all the storm related required foods: milk, bread, peanut M&M’s and wavy potato chips. All the shoveling allows for extra calories. Or that is what I’m telling myself.

Knitting continues on the Hug vest. I’ve completed 99 rows and 3 (of 8) buttonholes. I’m nearly to the end of the second skein of yarn. I haven’t felt the undeniable itch to cast something else on yet. I will admit to thinking about it though.

We always grab bread milk and eggs. At least we can eat French Toast! Love the popovers!! Bookmarked the chicken recipe, and love the vest fabric.

  2. Glad to hear that the storm-foods are in the pantry. This makes me want to go out and get some peanut m&m’s. Great progress on the vest.

Wow we haven’t had snow like that for years where I live. I would definitely buy potato chips and m&ms food of kings!!!

Oh boy, what a scramble for wintery days like that. Do the kids have to make up snow days?

Yikes! The UK grinds to a halt with a snow flurry so I don’t know quite what would happen with that snow here. It would probably be declared a national emergency 😉
    Stay warm and keep knitting.
