Hunkering Down

Today we are all at home for a major snow event. We’ve got all the important things: yarn, hot cocoa, Netflix and peanut M&M’s. As long as we have power we’ll be fine. The weather folks are talking about anything from 8-18 inches. I see shoveling in our future.

As you can see I completed the second part of the instructions for Hug and started in on the third. Maybe by the time the snow finishes up I’ll have all the parts on one needle and will be making my way up the body.

One thing I really like about this pattern is the little details like slipping the first stitch of every row. It makes for a very neat decorative edge. This is the split at the hip.

I hope you’re enjoying your Thursday.

  1. Beautiful work and edges. I really like the slipping-the-first-stitch trick, too. Hoping you’re keeping warm inside, and that the shoveling won’t be too arduous!

I heard about that storm. Keep warm and hope you don’t get the 12-18 inches.

I’m jealous of your snow … we (in Northern VA) only got rain out of this storm system. Sounds weird, but enjoy it!

You must be near us – everytime i watch the weather the predictions go up, we were 8 -14 this morning, now we are 12 -16. Sub zero windchills tomorrow, a little snow Saturday, major storm Sunday (bigger than this one). KABOOM its winter! We got out early today as it didn’t start snowing until about 11. I an wishing for a day off tomorrow but not too hopeful. I have knitting to do! 😉

Yours looks great, by the way. Enjoy the storm.

Enjoy being home and warm! We had 4 inches on Tuesday, but it looks like a warming trend is coming, at last! We don’t get the big storms until spring….as in 20 inches in April! Hope your power holds, and our warmer temps move your direction next week.
