One Down

And one to go. The fingers were fiddly as I had expected. They don’t take long to knit but most of the time is spent juggling needles. There will be some creative crafting involved to close up some loose stitches at the base of the fingers and where I picked up stitches for the thumb.

One thing I changed about the pattern was the order I knit the fingers. The pattern suggests you start with the pointer finger but I had read suggestions on Ravelry to start with the pinky. Notice how on my hand the pinky sits a little lower than the other three fingers. After knitting the pinky I knit 2 more rounds of the hand before I moved on to the ring finger, middle finger, pointer finger and finally the thumb. Now on to the other glove!

Beautiful work on the fingers. Juggling needles can be no fun, I wish they made slightly shorter DPNs specifically for tinier things like this. Congrats!
