After I completed the Strandwanderer scarf I needed another project, something to fill the time until the next semester of Loopy Academy started so I picked up the skein of yarn on my dresser and went pattern hunting on Ravelry. The yarn is Sox from Good Karma Farm that I got at the New England Fiber Festival. This skein was love at first sight from across the aisle. I just loved the muted tones. I knit so many things in bright shades that this seemed like a huge departure from my normal likes. Since it is all wool I knew I’d be better off knitting something that wouldn’t be rubbing around in my shoe all day. Also I wanted to see the colors as I wore them. I decided to knit Miss Winkle by Martina Behm. I seem to be on an “interesting construction” jag. So far the knitting has been a pleasure. I’ve memorized the pattern which makes knitting it a breeze.
Love that yarn! Good karma is one of my favorites, and lucky me, they are local. I have ‘t seen that color before but will look for it. So pretty. And it looks like a nice pattern you are knitting with it.

Nice photo – really shows off all the colors. And it’s a really cool pattern you’re using! I might have to try that one someday – I think I have some sock yarn around here somewhere……
