I’ve got another finished object for you. It too is a Loopy Academy sophomore first semester project. The requirement for this was to knit a pillow. I really hadn’t given a lot of thought, previous to this assignment, to knitting a pillow. I don’t really have decorative pillows. There is the gray checked one in my rocking chair but that is purely there for comfort. I did a lot of searching on Ravelry before I committed to a pattern. I wanted something smaller, not the size of a bean bag chair, that was easy to knit but still interesting. I found the Country Cottage Pillow Cover and it fit all my requirements. Knitting it was simple and I was done in no time at all. Sewing it up was the issue. I ran out and bought the pillow form and the button right when I had completed the knitting.
Then I left it all to sit while I did anything else, everything else. This was actually the first Loopy Academy project I knit but it is the last one I completed. I dislike sewing. After procrastinating as long as I possibly could I did some research to find the best or easiest way to sew it up and I found a youtube link, that I have misplaced, that made sense and worked for me. Once it was done I was so pleased and really relieved to have it done. Currently it’s sitting in the rocker with the other pillow looking pretty.
Well, that is when it’s not being dragged around the living room by Myles who seems to have a personal vendetta against anything that hasn’t been in it’s place since the day he arrived. I hope he survives the arrival of the new furniture. More about that in the future.
that’s quite nice! I actually have been thinking about knitting felted pillows with a holiday theme for decorating, but haven’t gotten any farther than thinking “huh. A bright red pillow with a big snowflake would look nice on the couch at Christmas time.” I have had that same thought for a couple of years now. Nothing happens. 🙂

That is a really cute pillow. If I were ever going to knit a pillow, I’d want to knit that one. 🙂 Wow! I can’t believe how big Myles has gotten! He sure is keeping you busy with his antics.
